It\'s been a while since the Simpsons Movie came out. I watched it at the cinema, and I still think it is a fun film, but it spread something so evil my ears had a killing instinct of their own. I talk, of course, of the \"arachnid swine\".

For months, we were plagued by the infamous song, wherever we went. Ring tones, screen savers, shirts, socks, several million websites, in several languages: no-one was safe. Everyone knew it, fans, non-fans, people who had never followed the series, even grand parents! I even learned that part of the indoctrination at the chemistry school was to learn the song. For months, I had to clench my teeth and brace myself through conversations.

Too much of a good thing is bad for you, and the limit was reached about 4 minutes after i left the cinema. Anyone who has read Good Omens knows that the song must have caused the demise of countless souls. How could such a wonderful thing, the Simpsons, create such annoyance and evil? Whatever the reason, it seems that it\'s now safe for me to start walking the streets without my holy water...
